I am working on a form inserting the date. I was hoping to add the day of the week with the date format. I checked on the format and went to the custom selection and inserted dddd mm/dd/yyyy. The hurdle I am trying to get past is, when I go to select a date, I receive a javascript error message telling me that it is the incorrect format that I should use dddd mm/dd/yyyy. I am javascipt challenged, LOL. Am I missing a setting somewhere or something? Any guidance or assistance would be appreciated. I am thinking its a simple issue.
Thanks
Doug

You must escape the slash using a backslash:
dddd mm\/dd\/yyyy

Thanks for the info, I tried that and I still received the date error. One trick I did try was to put the format as
mm/dd/yyyy dddd and it seems to work.
dddd mm\/dd\/yyyy is what I tried
Am I missing something?
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Such a strange bug.
It correctly displays the date during the alert and when you click OK it disappears (back slashes don't change anything).
You should report it here:https://www.adobe.com/products/wishform.html

Yeah I know, I did place the dddd for the day of the week at the end of the format and it works perfectly and there isnt an error message. Weird.
Thanks for the time and assistance. Hope your thanksgiving was nice and wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I put a note on the link that you suggested. I added your name on there as helping me.

I recommend you use two fields. One with just the date, and another with a calculation script to show the day of week for that selected day.
