Reading some of the posts on here I'm not too encouraged that there is actually a solution to this problem...but in case I've missed something and someone has an idea of how to resolve this problem I'm going to post it....
I just formatted my computer and reinstalled Acrobat X Pro which I have the actual CD's for and have been using for the last 10 years. I format my computer each year to get a fresh install and have had no problem getting Acrobat working each time. Unfortunately this time I'm getting an error saying that I've already registered two machines.... I log into the Adobe account and I see the product under the serial number but it doesn't show and registered computers for it so I'm lost as to how I'm supposed to reset it. If this is Acrobat's way of just phasing the software out so that we have to buy a newer version they should just say it instead of this frustrating situation of not being able to reset it AND you have no way of contacting any support people because unless you have a current subscription you get a useless virtual 'tech support' that can't do anything for you.
Does anyone know if there is a file on my system, in the registry or program files that needs to be deleted to reset it or is this a problem on their server....meaning I'm s.o.l.
