Differing results in comments with Delete key

When marking up a PDF for editing, I'm getting two different results and cannot figure out the cause. Most times, if I highlight the word or punctuation and hit the Delete key, the Comments bar will show only "Strikethrough Text" as it should (this indicates to the compositor that this item is to be deleted. However, sometimes when I highlight the item and hit the Delete key, the Comments bar will simply show the item I'm deleting (e.g., if I'm deleting a period or comma the comment will show a period or a comma) and that sends the wrong message to the compositor.

How do I make the Delete key perform only one function is Acrobat (i.e., Strikethrough Text)?

Hi @andrewh35865418

As per the description above, that the select and delete key is sometimes not working as striketrough command. We have checked on our end and it is working fine.

Would you mind sharing a few more details to understand the issue better?

  1. OS name and version?
  2. Application version?

  3. quote

the Comments bar will simply show the item I'm deleting (e.g., if I'm deleting a period or comma the comment will show a period or a comma)

Is this happening with only commas or period or with words or sentences too?

Make sure that the app is updated to the latest version.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks,

Harsh
