What I do most with Acrobat Pro is sending my exported pdf to my default Windows email client (Thunderbird) as an attachment so I can send it to colleages or clients. Since the last update the "email" button disappeared when I click on Share... I dont need feedback approval or read only cloud functions, I need an email button: (please) in one click like it used to be in the previous Acrobat versions.
I don't like to do 4 clicks before I can reach this button. Why is Adobe is making it so difficult for its users to just use their own prefered apps? No Gmail, no Outlook, no WhatsApp, just my personal chosen email app will do.
I hope you will bring this basic feature back as a direct button in the toolbar.

Hello!
I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
Do you get any error messages when trying to send any PDF as an email attachment? Open the PDF in Acrobat and click on Share
. Select Send as Attachment
to email the PDF directly. See this article for more details: How to send a PDF by email from Acrobat
Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.2043x Optional update, Mar 19, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check. For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/4jBNljb
The new Acrobat user interface includes a Share button that allows you to send PDFs as attachments. This is a newly designed feature. However, if you prefer to use the old email button for sending PDFs as attachments, you can switch back to the previous version of the UI by navigating to the menu and disabling the new Acrobat interface. That said, we recommend using the new Acrobat UI for its improved functionality.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

Yes I have the same issue. I send lots of files to co-workers and I just need to send the file, I don't need to add some fluff approval comment.

is there a reason you cannot just add back to original location?

Hello @teashias
I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.
The current process is a default-designed behavior to send a PDF as an email. If you wish to make changes and provide feedback in the existing workflow or the tools, please use the Acrobat Wish form to file a feature request.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.

The "email" button is back under the Share button... which is great. It would be nice to be able to configure the content of the "Share" menu... For example: remove buttons of Apps a user does not use and add buttons to apps or cloud services the user does use. In my case I do not use Outlook, Teams or Gmail... But I do use Nextcloud and Thunderbird. I know this apps are not used as much by the common user, but as an Acrobar Pro user it would be nice to be able to configure custom apps.
I will put a feature request but in most cases this will go to a dead end...
