Does Acrobat have any of the useful tools that are used in Bluebeam? Bluebeam is such a powerful tool, but since they have increased their price so much, it is not as viable for our small company. It is built on and around PDF's so I was just curious if Adobe offered anything close? Tools such as polygon, shading, measuring, arrows, etc. are very helpful.

No problem. I kind of already knew the answer, but thought it was worth it to throw it out there.

Hi Jason,
As I've never heard of Bluebeam, I cannot compare it and Acrobat. However, Acrobat does provide a 7 day free trial so I suggest you give it a complete rundown. I'm sure things will be different and I'm sure there will be features in Acrobat that are better than Bluebeam (and vise versa), but you will be the best one to see how it fits in YOUR needs.

We already have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. It's a great program, and we use it daily. There are just some things it doesn't do. I was hoping that maybe it did, and that I just did not know where the commands were.

Bluebeam was designed for the AEC industries, so it's more centered around those needs. Acrobat is better for editors, lawyers, and print shops. Bu since you're already familiar with Bluebeam, than you'll probably find that the drawing markup tools in Acrobat are not quite as robust. All the tools you mention do exist in Acrobat, although they are not as flexible. Here is an article I wrote comparing the comments pane of Bluebeam and Acrobat: https://documentgeek.blogspot.com/2019/02/commenting-panes-comparison-between.html
I actually have a LinkedIn course specifically about using Acrobat PDF Commenting for AEC. If you don't already have a Linked In Learning membership, I'm pretty sure you can get a 7-day free trial. It's the most in-depth course on PDF commenting in Acrobat. I have both Bleubeam and Acrobat and use both a daly basis for different tasks, so I'd be happy to aswer any additional questions you may have. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

So you know what I mean then. Bluebeam is a very powerful program and it is very useful in the construction industry to mark up plans and other documents. It also allows for the combining of multiple plan sheets in space (not the same thing as "combining" PDF's in Acrobat). I was just hoping that maybe Acrobat had some of those tools and that they were just buried deeper and harder to find. Bluebeam used to be a $149 program that would last for a few years. Now they are asking $349/yr for each user license. Ever since they were bought out, the new owner has just jacked the price up. Unfortunate for small businesses.
Thanks!

All of that, with the possible exception of "shading" is available in Acrobat, and even in the free Reader...

Depending on the definition of "shading", Acrobat has that too.
