Document Title Changed when sending out an e-signature - OCT 2024

New Here ,
Oct 17, 2024 Oct 17, 2024

Hi gang -

I just created a document with e-signatures attached to it.

However, when I sent out the file, Adobe changed the document title in the Outlook Email to reflect a Client that I worked with 2 years ago.

The actual document sent was correct.    However, the Title was changed.

How do I fix the document so that the end user doesn't see an prior client's name in the email title?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to keep you waiting.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to send via Outlook? Please try with a different PDF file and check for the issue.

Also, make sure you have the Acrobat Pro updated to the latest version 24.05.20320. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Check for the document's metadata, as it might contain information from a previous project, which could be influencing the title displayed in the email.

  • Open the document in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Go to File > Properties (or press Ctrl + D on Windows / Cmd + D on Mac).
  • In the Description tab, check the Title field. If it reflects the name of the previous client, update it to match the current document.
  • Click OK to save the changes.
  • Save the updated document to ensure the metadata changes are applied. Attach the updated file to your email and resend it.

Let us know how it goes.
