In Acrobat pro dc, in the context pane it shows the individual components that make up a pdf are listed and you can see properties of each component. What unit of measurement is acrobat using to describe the width and height of the images? Is 3304 x 2550 out of spec for an 8.5 x11 document?

It isn't a unit-based measurement; it's the actual image size (in pixels). There isn't enough information to go on, because we don't know (from the picture) the actual size of the image. it could be just an inch wide, cover the whole page, or be much larger than the page. And what spec would it be out of? Coffee table book? Newspaper? Inkjet? Screen viewing?

so apparently its supposed to be the print resolution dpi (300) x in (11x8.5) = 3300 x 2550. I was asking if its problamatic in any way if there is an extra 1 in the height (3301 vs 3300)?
