@defaultb1x4oetgjs76 Closer inspection of the screenshot, it does say the file is a 'Macro-enabled file - XLSM' — these type of files have the ability to run small programs (called "macros") when they are opened. Because of this, they are a primary target for hackers who hide viruses and malware inside them. Adobe made a strict, permanent security decision (since 2018+): it no longer directly supports or processes macro-enabled Office files. Acrobat isn't failing to drag-and-drop; it's refusing to convert the file because it contains macros and Adobe has blocked this file type for your safety.
I would just re-save the file and save it as Excel Workbook (*.xlsx). This creates a copy of the file that does not contain the macros. You can then drag-and-drop the new .xlsx file onto Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, and it should convert successfully. The key is to avoid using the macro-enabled .xlsm file for any kind of automatic conversion process in Acrobat.

This is a common issue in Adobe Acrobat Pro 2024 and its updates. While dragging & dropping Word or Excel files, errors like “the file could not be opened” or “drag & drop failed. Try again.” To fix these issues, you may follow these steps, as I also faced these issues a few weeks back.
