Dropdown trigger triangle overs text in a narrow field

In a pdf form - is there a way to move the trigger triangle so it doesn't cover the text in the field?

Only by resizing the field, or by changing its Direction from "Left to Right" to "Right to Left", which will move the arrow to the left-hand side of the field. You can find this setting under the field's Properties, in the Appearance tab.
