Dynamic multi-line

I have a text field that can either hold 1 or 2 lines of text.

So if there's only one line I still need it to be aligened in the center of the box and if the text is longer than the field then activate the multi-line setting.

You can't do that. You would need to use the Keystroke event to capture the Enter key being pressed in order to switch on the Multiline option, but if that option is turned off the key won't register as a line-break but as an empty string.
