E-sign Update now making field boxes as required fields - How to remove this in preferences?

New Here ,
Aug 29, 2023 Aug 29, 2023

Since the recent update, Adobe has made all additional fields added to a document as a "Required" red astrix box, however we do not wish for this  to apply to all documents.

Is there a way in the settings that we can remove this tickbox so its stops aplying it to all fields and we can stipulate whether we want this option rather than having to untick "required" for each field we have?

Hello @Kimberley319477441sgx

I hope you're doing well, and I appreciate you reaching out to us.

I tried to reproduce the issue on my end and its working fine. I understand that experiencing problems can be frustrating, but I'm here to assist you through this.

Regarding the issue you're facing with the PDF forms, I'd like to narrow down the scope a bit. Could you let me know if this problem is specific to a particular PDF form or if it's happening with all the forms you're trying to work with? It might be worth testing with a different form to see if the behavior persists. If you could provide a brief video recording demonstrating the steps you're taking and the issue you're encountering, that would greatly aid us in understanding the situation better.

Furthermore, I'd appreciate it if you could share the version of Acrobat Pro you are currently using. To find this information, you can go to Help > About Acrobat. It's recommended to have the most recent version, which is 23.03.20284. If you're not on this version, please try going to Help > Check for updates and then restart your computer after updating.

If you're using Windows, you might also consider repairing the installation from the Help menu as a potential solution.

If the issue persists, you could attempt to reset Acrobat's preferences to their default settings. Here's a helpful link that explains how to do this: How to Reset Acrobat Preference Settings to Default.

Also, please go through the help page PDF form field properties, Adobe Acrobat and see if that works for you.

Please don't hesitate to keep me updated on your progress. I'm here to support you through this troubleshooting process, and finding a solution that works for you.
