Hello guys,
I have been using Acrobat for many years to edit PDF files for work on same laptop.
Suddenly, since last month, I can edit and it appears till I close the pdf file. But what I changed/edited becomes unreadable when I open the file again. I tried uninstalled this program and install again. I also tried many different pdf files. Plus I tried with other fonts as well.
< Example >
* This is the original pdf below.
* I changed invoice number and I can see changed part after I save and till I close this file.
* But, it becomes unreadable when I re-open the file after seconds.
Is there anyone who had the same issue and sorted out???
Need help 😞

Hi Celine
We are sorry for the trouble. As described, the edited pdf file becomes unreadable after saving.
Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version of the application go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat DC
make sure you have the latest version 20.006.20042 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.
Also, try to repair installation (For Windows Only) Go to Help > Repair Installation
If it still doesn't work
Let us know how it goes

I am having the same issue where a editible pdf file becomes un editable once we save and open it. This does not happen with all the files though.
Do we know if the solution suggested above is helping resolve the problem.
Thanks
Sid

Hi Sid
We are sorry to hear that, As mentioned this is a behavior with some PDF files. Would you mind sharing the sample PDF file with us for testing? Please upload the file to the document cloud (https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/) generate the link and share it with us.
Also, what is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat DC
A new version of Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC is now available (20.009.20063). Please update the application to the new version go to Help > Check for Updates and see if that helps.
