On a PDF form I want to create an address field as a dropdown list so the customer has to choose from predefined address values. Each addresses contains several lines with name, street, town etc. How can I enter and later display the content of this field in separate lines?

This is technically possible, but it's an undocumented feature and it tends to be buggy. I would recommend you don't use it.

Instead, have the drop-down display the name of the address, for example, and then use a script to populate a multi-line text field with the full address. That will work much better.
