Effect of embeded index in building index XXXX.bpdx

Hello,

I Noticed embeding the index will increase the size of the file, which I am sure could be helpful for huge files, but I wonder does these embeded index would help or have any significate effect on document sizes of say 2-20 pages at the time of buidling Index for multiple files in a folder?  I mean does building Index uses those embeded index at the time of building external index using "xxxx.bpdx" files for creating the "xxxx.idx" or embeded index are total ignored?

afaik - building a catalog index of many PDFs will result in loss of embedded index where present in a PDF.
