Einzelne Seite, fortlaufend

New Here ,
Sep 25, 2025 Sep 25, 2025

Hello @Bernd24262558cth8

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out.

Even though you've set “Single Page Continuous” and 125% zoom in Acrobat's global preferences, these settings may not apply when opening certain PDFs because:

  1. Document-specific display settings override your global preferences.
  2. PDFs created with custom view settings (e.g. zoom level, page layout) will open using those settings unless told otherwise.
  3. Files opened from email attachments, web links, or shortcuts may bypass your default view settings.

Set Global Preferences

Open Acrobat.
Go to Menu> Preferences > Page Display.
Set:

Page Layout: Single Page Continuous
Zoom: 125%

Click OK to save.

Disable “Restore Last View Settings”
This is the actual setting that can override your preferences.

Go to Menu > Preferences > Documents
Under Open Settings, uncheck:

“Restore last view settings when reopening documents”

Close Acrobat completely. Reopen the PDF using File > Open from within Acrobat.

See this article for more information: https://adobe.ly/48yUgXS

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hello @Bernd24262558cth8

Thank you for sharing the information.

Even though you’ve disabled “Restore last view settings when reopening documents”, Acrobat may still prioritize internal document properties over your application-wide preferences. This means that unless the display settings (such as page layout and zoom) are explicitly saved as part of the document’s metadata, Acrobat may revert to default or previously embedded values when reopening the file.

To ensure your preferred view settings are applied when opening the document:

Set the document’s open view manually:

Open the PDF.
Go to Menu> Document Properties > Initial View.
Set:

Page Layout to “Single Page Continuous”
Magnification to “100%”

Save the document again.

Double-check the application preferences:

Under Menu> Preferences > Page Display, confirm your default layout and zoom settings.

Test with a new document:

Try applying the same steps to a newly created PDF to see if the behavior is consistent.

If the issue continues with the PDFs you created, then please share a sample PDF file through which you can reproduce the issue, the current version of the OS, and the version of Acrobat installed, so that we can investigate further.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
