Merci

Hi,

Looking at the description given above, we assume that you are working with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC desktop application and trying to save the changes made in file.

However, every time you save it, it gives you the option to Save As , which creates a copy of the edited document. Is that right?

You may check these things:

1- This generally happen when you work with a file saved/located on web or received as an attachment. You first need to download the file and save locally on your computer.

2- Once the file is saved, then make changes to it, first time you will be asked to Save As. Once done, open the file that you have just saved locally on your computer, rather than opening it from the original source.

3- Now the consecutive changes will be saved to the same file with Ctrl+S button.

Hope this help!

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

As described, the issue started to appear after you installed an Adobe Add-on. Would you mind sharing the name of the Adobe Add-on you have installed?

What version of Acrobat Pro are you using? Go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure the application is updated to the latest version, 24.05.20320. Then, go to Help> Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also, try to turn off the protected model testing. Go to Preferences (Ctrl,Cmd+k) > Enhanced Security > Uncheck 'Enable protected mode at start up' and turn off the Protected Mode > click OK and reboot the application and check.
Note: Please turn on the protected mode after testing to avoid any security risk.

Let us know how it goes

Regards
Amal
