Hello,
I have Adobe XI Pro, and I used to be able to save as Adobe PDF from Excel on my old computer. However, I can no longer do so on my new system, and I receive an error message: "Unable to find 'Adobe PDF'." I am using Windows 11 (64-bit).
I have tried all available online solutions, but the issue persists. I do not want to use the "Save As" option—I specifically want to use the "Save as Adobe PDF" feature.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or solutions.
Thanks,
T

Acrobat XI is an old and unsupported version, and is no longer compatible with any current OS version, so problems are to be expected. To increase the chances of it working properly make sure you have all updates installed (up to 11.0.23) and run it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS, like Windows 7.
Updates are available here:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/11.x/
You must use a dedicated FTP client to open the link, it won't work in most browsers.

Hello!
I hope you are doing well.
As correctly highlighted by our community product expert, Acrobat Pro 11 is an end-of-life product, and support ended on October 15, 2017. We recommend that you update to the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Acrobat Reader. You benefit from the latest functional enhancements and improved security measures by updating installations to the latest versions. For more information, see this article: https://adobe.ly/425CkRh
As suggested by our expert, you can try downloading and installing the app's available updates and running it in compatibility mode, but these steps may or may not work. You can try Reinstalling Adobe PDF Printer:
Control Panel > Devices and Printers
.Add a printer
, choose Add a local printer
, and use the existing port Documents\*.pdf (Adobe PDF)
.Have Disk
, browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat XX\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF
, select AdobePDF.inf
, and follow the prompts. See this community discussion for more information: Solved: Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files - Adobe Community - 8749598I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
