Hello all,
This problem was spotted about five yars ago for those of us using the stand-alone Acrobat Pro 2017. The solution then, to run the Adobe-provided registry tool, RegistryKey_CommonFileDirValue, reportedly worked for a few users.
My turn now: this no longer works, at least no one my system, which is much newer than the ones for which the registry tool was designed. I'm on a Windows 11 system - new computer, fresh install. The problem appeared, I attempted to solve it using the registry tool (repeatedly) without success. I dispair, as I cannot afford the exorbiant Adobe monthly fee version, and I need the features. 😞
Anyone with more recent insights into this very annoying installation problem, I'd be most interested in hear from! I really need this Adobe software that I paid for. Thanks.

@david23678493alcs please don't hate me.... this is highly likely that the problem you're experiencing with Error 2753 when trying to install Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 on Windows 11 is due to compatibility issues stemming from its age and its "end-of-life" status. While it's frustrating that you've paid for software that no longer functions reliably on your current system, unfortunately, perpetual licenses for software eventually reach a point where they are no longer compatible with newer operating systems. This is a common challenge with older software as technology evolves. Your best path forward would likely be to bite the bullet and consider the Adobe monthly subscription, perhaps looking for discounts or promotions that might make it more affordable.

@david23678493alcs question for you, do you really need th Pro version? Could you get by and use the free, Acrobat Reader? https://www.adobe.com/acrobat.html
If you are curently a student or teacher, you might be eligible for a free educational subscription through your school. Or students and teachers can often get over 57% off a Creative Cloud Pro plan (which includes Acrobat Pro) for the first year, potentially renewing at a still-discounted rate. Some sources mention up to 65-70% off.
For an individual annual contract billed monthly, Creative Cloud Pro is typically around $69.99/month USD. Acrobat Pro as a standalone app is generally around $29.99 month USD for an annual, billed monthly plan.
