How to fix error 44 occurred while editing pdf file or insert images in existing files

Hey there,

Error 44, is that the message that you get while editing every pdf or is it a specific one? This could be an unknown error occurred either because of the content used in the document or the application version you are working on.

You may refer to the following steps-

1- Try editing a different pdf and see if that returns the same error. If not, then its a document specific issue where you may try saving the file with a different name and check.

2- Reboot your computer.

3-If this happen with multiple pdfs then you may check your application. Install the latest patch, Open Acrobat>Help>Check for update.

4- Nothing works, Open Acrobat>Help>Repair Installation (only for windows)

Try the basic troubleshooting and let us know if it still doesn't fix.
