Error message combining multiple PDFs

I'm trying to combine a few PDFs stored on a local drive, short file names and under 100mb. Each time I select the PDFs, I get error messages saying "cannot convert file type to pdf". When I select non-PDFs, those work just fine.

Any ideas?

Working with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2024.002.20687 on a Mac Studio M2 and all software is up to date.

Are you able to open all of these files on their own, before trying to merge them?

Yup! I can open them just fine in all programs. Under permissions I can
print but nothing else

Hi there

I have tried to reproduce the issue at my end and its working fine.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

If it still doesn't work, would you mind collecting the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.

Regards
Amal
