Hi there

just just created some forms with dropdown and fillable areas for a client of mine, and it has the reset button and submit button, I created the documents in mac and it works fine when I tested the submit button, when I tested from my client's computer (PC) and the error message said "operation not permitted".

I put password security to prevent his client from tampering with the form, and all the settings are right (allow to fill, type and send), I need help from experienced users to tell me how to resolved it? in the past it didn't cause any dramas from the older AcrobatPro version, but the latest acrobat version don't really do the job for me, if anyone could give me some answers much appreciated!

Please post the full message.

Have you checked the Acrobat JavaScript Reference to see if there has been a change to the submit action?

You should also look at "privaliged operations".

This usually means that the user is using an older version of Reader (pre-11) and the form is not Reader-enabled. The fix is to either Reader-enable the form (something you shouldn't do for clients due to Acrobat licensing restrictions) of use Reader 11 or later.

Hi George

any way I could have the submit button to work without enabling the document? it's an order form for client's customers and he just want the PDFs to be filled and send back after clicking on the submit button, I doubt that the customers know about to upgrade the acrobat reader versions they've got, just need to find the solution

much appreciated if you could point me the right direction, I tried everything and still not working ....
