Hi Faisla
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.
Please try the steps/suggestion shared in the similar discussion https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader/help-showing-error-message-135-when-trying-to-save-as/... and see if that works for you.
Regards
Amal

Hope you are doing well.
This is an indication for a corrupt PDF file. When you hold down the CTRL key when you click on the OK button, you will get a more technical explanation of the error. Please try to recreate the PDF from the original source file and see if that works.

1. click on the Edit tab
2. Click "Combine files"
3. Click "Add open files" (you just want to add the 135 error pdf)
4. Click "Combine"
5. You should get a Binder1.pdf that you can then save correctly, and will preserve all markup, comments, and editing that you did on the original, unsaveable PDF

This works for me EXCEPT that when I combine the first file into the new binder, it loses all the pages prior to those which are numbered (meaning I have "front matter" in my book and i, ii, iv etc are all getting left behind, not combining into the new binder). Any idea how to fix that?

I've also lost the first few pages, would love the solution to this.

Doesn't work for me. A popup says:
"No PDF file was created because Adobe Acrobat encountered an unidentified error."
So frustrating. Not the first time this has happened.
Compounding the ridiculous issue here is that when I copied and pasted the error message this forum said: "Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied."
Can we please get a product that works at the bare minimum?

I hope you are doing well. We are sorry for the trouble and for the delayed response.
Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20531 (Win) | 25.001.20529 (Mac), planned update June 10, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.
Also, could you please share more details about the workflow you are trying and getting the error message? Are you on a Windows or a Mac machine, and what is the version? Do you get this error message with all the PDFs, or with a specific PDF?
Here are a few steps that you can try:
Print to PDF Instead of Exporting
Check File Paths and Permissions
Disable Enhanced Security (Temporarily)
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
