Error: One of the specified recipients is not resolvable when using mailto: on submit button

I am getting this error: One of the specified recipients is not resolvable. I have created a button to submit my form and wish it to open a pre-addressed email message when pressed. If I use the following mailto:person@provider.com I get the error. If I use just mailto: the email opens fine. I have tried various formatting but can't get it to work.

My configuration is:

Microsoft Windows 11 Pro

10.0.2200 Build 22000

Acrobat DC pro 64 is the latest release

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

Also please go through the similar discussion https://acrobatusers.com/forum/forms-acrobat/acrobat-form-distribution-error-one-specified-recipient... and see if that helps.
