Extract a number + Rename the document

I have a problem where I have to manually rename and save scanned documents, which becomes time-consuming, especially when dealing with thousands of documents. I want to streamline this process by automatically renaming and saving scanned PDFs based on a specific number that is found and extracted from the PDF and directing them to a designated folder. Is this possible in Adobe or will I need to find outside sources? If I must go to outside sources are there any recomendations as far as Scanners that do this automatically, or products or software.

You can do this with acrobat, but you would probably need to hire a professional to create such a script for you.

What might the script look like?

I have such a script from my previous client, of course it would require few adjustments to your needs, if you send me few files I can show you sample how it works.

If you want to hire someone feel free to send me PM.

In order for that to work you must first OCR the files. Unless they contain real text no script will be able to read it and use it for the file-name.

Yes the portion that I need it to read is real text and any written text I just need left as is.
