Extract comments into word

New Here ,
Jan 29, 2021 Jan 29, 2021

Hello,

I am familiar with the comment extraction tool - highlighting sections of text that are then extracted as comment summary. I would like to export that summary into a word document.

But, I get an error message stating that the pdf was not tagged. In order to tag it, I need to go to the ADOBE PDF menu and change the conversion setting and enable accessibility.

LOL, I can't even find the ADOBE PDF menu. Where is this located at? I am very much a beginner when it comes to Adobe.

Exporting comments to Word (or other file format) doesn't require that the PDF be tagged for accessibility!

Please report this as a bug to Adobe at www.Acrobat.UserVoice.com

However, you do need to have a copy of Adobe PDF Maker installed to perform some tasks. That's the PDF plug-in installed intno MS Word (Windows) with Acrobat Standard or Pro.

To export the comments in your PDF:

  1. Open the Comments Panel (right side of screen, or from the Tools menu in the upper left).
  2. From the panel's Options menu (the 3 dots at the upper right of the panel), select Export to Word.

The Comments Panel.The Comments Panel.

Export from the Options drop-down menu.Export from the Options drop-down menu.

There are several tasks you can perform on Acrobat comments, and I'm not sure which one you're referring to in your question. But for more info on Comments, these Adobe help articles might work for you:
