Feature request

Explorer ,
Feb 28, 2025 Feb 28, 2025

The page at https://www.adobe.com/uk/products/wishform.html claims it has a feature request submission form on it, but it doesn't!

So how can I submit a feature request for Acrobat Pro?

And please could someone at Adobe remove the above webpage, as it doesn't work.

Many thanks

Dave

The "form" is this forum: https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac

Post your request there, after checking it doesn't already exists. If it does, upvote it.

After I'd spent ages typing my feature request and setting up a user account, I submitted the request and got the following message:

I've managed to post it now, here. Many thanks for your help.

If anyone else has had problems with Acrobat's lack of intelligence about paper sizes, when printing, I hope you will upvote it

A few minutes ago I printed an A5 PDF onto 50 sheets of A5 paper. But Acrobat wasn't intelligent enough to realise it was an A5 PDF, so it scaled it up to A4. As a result half the information was missing on the printout and what was visible was huge. And I wasted an hour of my time and a lot of paper. Infuriating. One expects modern apps to be intelligent about that sort of thing, especially apps written by Adobe, who are supposed to be print experts!

Hello!

I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Thank you for raising the request with the product team. Do you experience this issue with the latest version of Acrobat? Try the following steps and let us know if that works for you:

Manually Set Page Size to Match PDF Size

  • Open the A5 PDF in Adobe Acrobat.

  • Go to File > Print.

  • In the Print dialog box:

    • Under Page Sizing & Handling, select "Actual size" (not "Fit" or "Shrink oversized pages").

    • Click Page Setup (bottom left).

    • In the popup:

      • Set Paper Size to A5.

      • Confirm the printer supports A5 paper and is correctly loaded.

2. Check PDF Page Size

  • Go to File > Properties > Description tab.

  • Confirm the Page Size shows as A5 (148 x 210 mm).

  • If the page size is not A5, the document may need to be resized or re-exported.

3. Disable Auto-Rotate and Scaling

  • In the Print dialog:

    • Uncheck "Choose paper source by PDF page size" only if your printer is auto-selecting the wrong tray or paper.

    • Also, ensure Auto-Rotate and Center is unchecked if it causes misalignment.

4. Save Custom Print Settings (Optional)

  • Once correct, click "Printer…" to access your printer’s settings and set A5 paper as the default tray if needed.

  • Save your print preset for future jobs.

If the issue still persists, please share the current OS version, the latest version of the firmware and driver of the printer, and the logs from the affected machine, and share them with us for further investigation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

My point was that you shouldn't have to tell Acrobat what the paper size is. It should be intelligent enough to know that automatically, from the dimensions of the document - as even the earliest version of Word were able to do.
