Fillable document with multiple signatures

I have created a fillable application that needs multiple signatures. After the document has been filled out and signed by the applicant, they will then send to another person to sign who then sends to another person to sign. I would like to disable the feature to edit the document AFTER it has been completed and signed by the applicant, BEFORE the other two signatures are requested. 

Is this possible to do?

This happens automatically. Signing the form locks the file from editing, with the exception of fields, which can be set to remain editable even after the file is signed.

Perhaps I did something wrong. The second signer was able to edit the content of the application before signing. How do I fix that?

If by "content" you mean the values of fields then you need to go to the Properties of the first signature field and under the Sign tab set it to lock all the fields that you don't want them to be able to edit.

Add a signing action to the signature field to lock the specified fields.
