Find invisible table in document

Hello

I'm trying to make my document accessible, using PAC 3.

I have only one issue (it's a 200 page doc).

A table header cell has no associated subcells.

I discovered that there were alot of table tags that had no content. I have made my way through and deleted the tags. But I only have one left and I can't find it anywhere.

Is there an easier way to find all tables in the document, perhaps using preflight? I have tried preflight but can't work it out. Some direction would be very helpful, thank you 🙂

Have you visited the Find command in the Tags panel?  You may be able to search for unmarked content, and maybe that will uncover the hidden item.

PAC 3 allows you to identify which element is causing the error. The error "Table has no associated subcells" is caused when you either have no header cells defined in a table or the scope for the cells isn't defined. I'd sift through those table tags and see if you can find one without header cells.

PAC 3 has not identiified the table or the page. It has a blank page on the right when you click on the error. I have 5 errors that are 'blank' so I can't tell what page they are on.

Thank you Chad, but I can't. It's an opeational business doc.

I'm actually thinking of giving up. It passess Adobe's accessibiilty checker but not Pac 3 because of the 5 errors. It is as good as I can get it.

Hi, I'm not sure if you figured this out or needed this advice so many months later, but I had the same issue. Check to see if the first cell of the table, typically blank for layout (A1) is tagged as a header with no row or column span. Tagging it to a data cell, and then applying Row and Column spans got rid of those hidden issues. Very frustrating they can't tell you which tables it is!
