“Fit” to page print option not working with custom size?

We recently had Adobe Acrobat reinstalled but we are now having an issue with printing custom sizes and the "fit to page" option not working correctly. When selected, rather than fitting to the specified size, it will zoom in really close on the corner of the document, or add a bunch of white to the top of the document so only the top of the file is within the print area?

I've spent hours trying out how to fix this but no luck so far! If tried 'print as image' and checked the default settings of the printer to make sure it's not scaling.

Check for and install print driver updates (google the name and model of your printer). Check for Acrobat updates under the Help menu. Where did your pdfs originate? I'm guessing there may be issues with the crop, trim, page and bleed boxes on the pdf. Are all pages of the pdf the same size?

Can you upload a sample page?

Thankyou, computer/adobe/driver all up to date. The issue is occuring with all PDFs irrespective of origin (word, photoshop, canva, etc.) or number of pages.

I will upload a photo of the issue soon.

It looks like Acrobat gets the wrong size information. Check if the units on the custom size are correct.

The first photo shows the file correctly "fitting" to A1, but then if I enter a custom print size, the file zooms in really close to one corner?

Do you have access to any other printers? I suspect the problem is with your Canon Free Layout Plus print driver. Try deleting the printer & driver (under system settings> Printers, on a Mac), then install a fresh version and check for any updates. If the problem persists, try posting your issue to the Canon forum:
