foreign avenue fonts not visible

Hi, I have printed a PDF from Autocad, where as a font I use Avenir. 

Unfortunately as soon as I open Acrobat to view the file I get a message that the program can not find Avenir Book and therefore some characters might be unavailable. In fact, instead of foreign letters like ÄÖÜ i see just dots.. 

It is the first time printing the file on my new computer and I have no idea what to do.. unfortunately changing the font is not a solution as the pages are part of bigger project which is all in Avenir. 

If draging the file to Google Chrome, i see it perfect.

Opening the same file in another computer, i see just dots again..

Can you include a screenshot of the panel you get when opening

File > Properties > Fonts (tab)

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to create the PDF from the source file? If you are using any third-party application to create the PDF, then the format and the standard of the PDF may not match the one required by the Adobe Acrobat application and cause the error.
