Form field font size settings do not work

I've seen several posts about this, but I am doing everything described in them that I have seen with no change. A series of form fields set to number format and a 12 pt font size display in what appears to be the largest size available. It reduces size as you enter more numbers, so I think it is auto sizing even though that is clearly not the setting I have for them. This is in Acrobat Pro.

In the process of removing identifiable information from the PDF, I renamed the form fields in question. That apparently fixed the problem as the resizing is no longer happening. I cannot imagine how/why that would be the case, but it is.

I don't have time to spend on investigating this more since I have it working now. But briefly, I converted an existing PDF into a form. There were about 10 rows with fields to enter a number that was then totaled on the last row with a calculation. Renaming the 10 fields is what fixed the problem.

If it is set to 12 pt font the font shouldn't be shrinking.  Can you share the form?

I cannot share it because it is someone else's copyrighted property. But I assure you it is set to 12 pt.

Can you copy the field to another PDF, see it still does it, and upload the PDF?  Or take a screenshot of the field being filled out.

Hi @DavidacrossAmerica I'm unable to reproduce the issue at my end. In what scenario, you landed into this is something I'm intererested in. Can you please share more, once you have reproducible steps with some other forms (which can be shared).

I'm assuming the issue got resolved (while renaming) for now with you and is not occuring any more.

Regards,

Subrato

Sometimes if fields names have special characters, or spaces at the end of the text, it can cause problems.  Was there anything like that in the original field names?

Only one, fill_10, which was automatically created when I converted the PDF to a form. But it remains in the form that is now working correctly.
