Format for embedding video in PPT / PDF

hello, 

I have a video on Vimeo that I wanted to embed into a PDF'd powerpoint presentation. I know how to embed the video from my hard drive but it's too large of a file and makes sharing the PDF (via email) impossible. When I try to embed the vimeo URL I get the following reply:

Is there a reason I can't do this on Vimeo and is there another video hosting site that will work better?

RichMedia in PDFs requires the Flash Player Plugin which has been discontinued in 2020. So, you can't use those features anymore in PDFs. Just add a hyperlink to the Video on the platform of your choice.
