Why do the attachments disappear in a form once it is sent for signature using Adobe Fill & Sign?

Hi Khofenbredl,
When you send a document using the Fill & Sign option, it converts it to Adobe Sign form due to which the attachments removed from the document.
It is not possible to add an attachment to the Adobe Sign form. You can only add files with the main document while sending it for signature. When you select multiple files, it adds all the files into a single document and sends it for signature.
As you are trying to send a document with the attachment, would you please let us know the workflow you are looking for?

Hi Meenakshi,
That makes sense. I created a form to be submitted for an estimate with a button for attaching documents. Once the estimation is done, the form is sent back for approval / signatures.
I can just remind users that they need to extract any documents prior to sending for signatures and attach them as separate documents.

It is very confusing on how the file attachment tool in Adobe Sign works. While you say that it is impossible to add an attachment to the Adobe Sign form, there is another thread (https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-sign/recipient-able-to-upload-documents/m-p/8142065?page=1) stated that we can simply use the file attachment tool and send it out together. There are multiple threads regarding users encountering issues with the file attachment tool.
I am using enterprise version, which comes with file attachment tool. However, each adobe sign document sent out requires cost, therefore I do not want to randomly test on the file attachment tool.
As such, kindly explain:
Appreciate if there is a clear explanation of the outcome of the signed document with expection of supporting documents attachment.

I have had the same issue. I have pdf files that I have attached to my main pdf document. The main pdf document is the only document that requires a signature. I sent for signature using Salesforce application. I upload the document, with attachments, and send for signature. The document is returned when signed. The attachments are no longer present in the main pdf document. I am unable to add any attachments after the document has been signed. Just wanted to know why my attachments were stripped from the main pdf document during signature process. Is there any way to keep them attached? I have searched high and low and cannot find a straight response for this.
