With Adobe Acrobat you can save the filled forms.

Sadly I can not. I use Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe PDF-XChange and Adobe Live Cycle Designer.

For Acrobat Reader the form needs Form Save Rights. This can be added with Acrobat Pro.

So there is no way to make it saveable?

Not with Acrobat. You need a special server product from the LiveCycle (or AEM) family to do that, I believe. But it should not be needed, if a modern version of Acrobat or Reader is used.

It should work fine in Reader. Can't vouch for PDF-XChange and LCD Designer is an editor, not a viewer, so it's not relevant.
