Free form selection edit

1. Help! I'm using Acrobat Pro DC to edit my paintings, and I need to custom cut around an image and the only option it gives me to edit my pdf is using Paint. But their "free form" selection tool will only "cut" into a rectangle-shape. I'm used to using Photoshop that worked like a charm. I'm using the trial version to see if it's worth subscribing -- and this is a deal killer.

Acrobat is really, really, not a document editor. Not a design tool. There's a world of pain, even for text edits; images need to be edited in an external app. Stick to Photoshop.
