Getting error message - The document could not be saved. The parameter is incorrect.

A coworker and I have both started receiving an error message when trying to save a file with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.  If we have added or deleted pages and then try to save the file we get the error message "The document could not be saved. The parameter is incorrect."  We haven't changed anything that we know of, and we have performed this function hundreds of time with no previous difficulty.

Hi hollymsvr,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are receiving an error when trying to save a file in Acrobat DC, is that correct?

Try the troubleshooting steps given in the following help document:

Error: Bad Parameter while deleting pages in Acrobat

Also, try the suggestions given by the users in the following forum threads:

Re: BAD PARAMETER Error when Deleting Pages in Acrobat at post#15

Solution to "Bad Parameter" - at post#11

Also let us know dot version of Acrobat and the operating system you are using on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version in Acrobat: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Let us know if you need any help.

Shivam

Still having problems with this?

Everyone in my office started having the same issue, and the only solution that seems to consistently work is to turn off the preview pane or make sure a different file is selected when you go to save the one you have open. My understanding is that the file can only be open in so many places at a time.

For us, it only happens to files that are stored in Google File Stream/Drive.

I also have the problem and error message when streaming a pdf document from Google File Stream.

Oddly enough, sometimes it does save, and sometimes I do get that error message when trying to save. I then put the file on the desktop to work on it, save (no problem saving then!) and upload back to G Dr.

It's only a workaround but gets me going.

Otherwise can't figure out the pattern of why sometimes it does and other times it doesn't.

One thing that somewhat made a difference (as of now) was to log out of Good File Stream, and log back in.

Of all the things I tried, I think maybe that helped.  Not sure though.
