Help inserting current time to a field via a button click

Hi,

I am creating a check sheet where the user will input data every hour(ish). I would like to know if there is a way the user can simply click a button each time they do thier check and the selected field is populated by the current time?

Hi,

I tried something similar in the past, the challenge is that everytime a user opens the form the now() function updates to the new time. I tried several javascript options (not all of them) and I ended up asking users to select the nearest 15 mins time in a list. 

CheckIn-CheckOut systems are a nightmare for that reason.

If you find a solution, please share it in this forum.
