hiding a specific page number in footers

I am creating a family cookbook and so far all is well.

I wish to insert some of our poetry between the recipe sections.

I do not mind that the page sequencing updates with these additions but I really do not want a page number on the bottom, or for that matter, do I want the header to show.

I am certain it can be done but as a newbie I don't know how.

So far I have done the cookbook in Acrobat by typing in all of the recipes.

It prints well on my printer but I have no way to bind it.

I have decided to include some family poetry which will be easy to do. But I do not want page numbers on the bottom of the poetry. I  just want to be able to hide the numbers on those pages. The pages can be numbered so I can keep the index updated I just want them hidden.

I've tried using in design but cannot get the Acrobat document to place. Very frustrating.

I plan to use "Blurb" to publish. I have used them before and was satisfied with their work.

InDesign is ideal, and PDF pages can be placed in InDesign. If you cannot place the pages, one at a time, that's a serious problem but more an InDesign issue than Acrobat.

OK. I think I figured it out.

Find the page you want to remove the page number from.

Go to Edit>select the page number at the bottom> hit delete.

The remaining page numbers remain the same. Which is what I am looking for.

Thanks for the help everyone.
