Highlighter Tool turns itself off after first use

New Here ,
Feb 15, 2018 Feb 15, 2018

My Highlighter Tool is now turning off after the first time use.  After I updated yesterday, the issue started happening.  I highlight numbers sporadically in columns alot and to keep hitting the highlight tool each time is annoying.  How the hell do I keep it on, until I'm ready to turn it off?

Hi RobinDZ60,

Could you please try following troubleshooting steps:

Select highlighter tool > press Ctrl + E > check the box next to "Keep tool selected", does that work?

It worked!  As someone in accounting and uses this tool a lot, I'm very grateful to you Shivam.  The auto off drove me crazy yesterday.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the late reply.

If you are still looking for an answer to this and using the New Acrobat experience, please select the highlight tool and then click on the Pin icon in the Quick toolbar to keep it selected.

Regards
Amal
