Hello,
When I highlight or select text, a visual glitch shows the previous page or "previous state" of the page I am trying to highlight. This makes it very hard to accurately highlight sections because I am guessing where the sentance ends because it is covered by the previous page. Is this a known issue?

I had the same exact annoying problem. In preferences under "Page Display" the resolution was set as custom resolution of 110 pixels/inch; after setting it as "Use system settings" the problem seems to have been resolved. Hope it helps

Hi, I am having the same problem (that started like a month ago without any reason). I have tried uninstalling an reinstalling the app but it didn't change anything. Please help me fix it, it's very annoying.
P.s. here is a photo of this visual glitch

Having the same issues, I do not know why, I know other people who have to deal with it. If uninstalling an reinstalling doesn't solve it, idk what to do.

I am wondering if this glitch is dependent on a particular languange pack.
Just for testing purposes, Have you give it a try with English version and see if it manifests the same glitch? (just guessing here)

Just tried it, the issue is still present.
I am using french, I switched to english, the issue is still present.
I have a feeling it is linked to the "comment" features or maybe just the highlight feature.

Still no solution for this problem? It has become almost impossible to highlight anything hence I am considering switching to another pdf reader

It's sadly what I did because it became unusable to keep up during my lectures.

Hi,
One potential solution would be to disable cpu core parking. But it may come at a small battery cost on laptop.
You can do this through the regedit on windows.

And why would that help the issue?

After trying it, since I have the same issue consistently on some documents, It didn't work for me and. It could have helped if it was an issue with optimisation of disabled cpu cores, but since the issue remained... I have no solution for you.

I have had this same issue for the past month or so. I highlight a lot in the OCR'd .pdf's I work with. It's almost as if I am highlighting blindly because the original text disappears and I am highlighting something from another page. It's maddening.

Any word from Adobe. This just started happening to me. It's a horrible glitch.

In preferences I changed it from laptop to monitor display. I am using a monitor. It seemed to fix the issue, but there is still some strange flickering that happens when I scroll.

Thanks, this worked for me too.

Problem came back, so this appears to only alleviate the symptoms sometimes. Disabling the page cache (see below), seems to make the problem go away.

I'll give it a try soon, thank you!

Thanks for helping,
Unfortunately it did not fix it for me.
Can you specify what is the system setting value in your settings? Is it 120 pixel per inch?

It worked for like 2 hours and now the bug is back.

THAT DID NOT WORK AND EVEN IF IT DID ADOBE SHOULD FIX ITS BUGS INSTEAD OF LEAVING US TO COME UP WITH A WORK-AROUND. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. ADOBE PRODUCTS HAVE GONE WAY DOWN HILL.

I think I found a solution that worked for me: Under preferences -> Page Display -> Rendering -> Uncheck "Use page cache"
I also changed resolution to "Use system setting", but not sure if that is required.

This worked for me; setting the page resolution to "Use systems settings" did not.

This seemed to make the problem go away. I previously tried "Use system setting", but the problem came back.

In that case, I am wondering if clearing the temp folders and cache folders manually would improve the issue.
