Highlighting text based on preset list of words

New Here ,

Hi,

Is it possible to have a preset list of words that you can run over an online pdf to search for specific words. Rather than opening the document and then finding the word you want, then highlighting it?  I want to open pdf documents online and have a preset list of words that runs over the document highlighting specific words automatically.

Thanks

A tool can be created for this purpose. In fact, you'll find a free Acrobat Action for this here:

https://acrobatusers.com/actions-exchange/

The basic strategy is simple. Use the "Redact" tool to find the words and place Redact annotations over the words, but don't proceed with redaction, instead, convert the redact annotation into a highlight annotation.

Just be aware that this method can't be used on files that are not first saved to your local computer and then opened in Adobe Acrobat.
