Hold Shift no longer allows you to select multiple page thumbnails while scrolling through document.

I use Shift and the Page Navigation bar to select multiple pages for extraction.  The follow steps worked up until yesterday.

I would click on the thumbnail of the first page I wanted to select (outlines thumbnail in blue).  I would then move my mouse over to the main document and scroll through the document until I reached the last page I wanted to extract (I have to read each page to determine if it needs to be extracted).  Next, I would move my mouse pointer over to the thumbnail bar, hold Shift Key and click on the thumbnail of the last page I want to extract.  All pages in that range would then be highlighted in blue.

Those steps no longer work.  If I scroll through the document and click the last page in the range, it highlights the last page only.  I can click each individual page thumbnail to create a document range.  But that is not as quick as scrolling.

The organize page feature will not work for me as the images are too small.

I have no idea why my steps no longer work.  It is adding time to what I need to do.

I believe your best bet is to use the Organize Page feature, and use your ctrl+scroll wheel to zoom in as close as you need to be able to read the contents of any page.

Hi Lisa,

Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you due to this issue. We are able to reproduce this issue at our end and started innvestigation on it.

As a workaround, you can select the page in thumbnail view by clicking on a previous page of the range selected. e.g. If you select the first page in the range (Page 1) in the thumbnail view, then type in the last page number in the range (Page 7), and hold Shift Key and click on the thumbnail of the Page 6, then you will be able to select all the pages from 1 to 6.

Please try and revert if it works for you, till then we are working on its fix.

Thanks,

Akanksha

This work-a-round no longer works as wll.
I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and used to be able to select a thumbnail page, then type the end page range number, hold shift and select the end page and the entire page range would be selected (e.g. select page 40 thumbnail, then type page 54 to jump to that page, hold shift and select page 54 thumbnail, now 40 to 54 are selected).
Now when you type the page number it de-selects the original selected thumbnail.
So now I have to select the starting thumbnail, scroll till I reach the desired end page range, hold shift and select the final page. Then it works.

Give this a try:

In the Organize Pages interface, type in a page range, like '1-8', and then hit enter.  This should select the defined range of pages for you.

Perhaps this could be a working solution for you.

Glad that it works for you!  I didn't know that it was an available thing until I went fishing for a solution for you.
