How can I add a jpg signature image to a digital ID

When I use the Configure Signature Apearance for a digital ID the browse block only shows PDF files. In order to make a PDF file image work I would have to fill the whole page with an enormus signature - thats not practical and cropping doesn't work either. The software used to allow image files such as jpg - has this capability been removed altogether or is it available somewhere else in the application for use with digital files?

You can use image files in Adobe Acrobat DC.

In Acrobat Reader DC you can use only PDF files.

Hi Bernd,

Thank you for that answer and I can confirm that it correctly answered my request. I have now resolved my issue as follows.

I rarely have to sign an Adobe Acrobat DC document and never have to write documents in PDF format. Licensing Adobe Acrobat DC to add a written signature to the digital signature on the rare occasions when a supplier requires me to sign a PDF document would be very costly. I now use the mandatory PDF file required by Adobe Acrobat DC Reader.  The only way that I could find to use it in this way requires just once writing a large signature as an image, importing it to Windows Word to fill a full page with narrow margins and then printing it to a PDF file for secure storage as a signature. The PDF signature file can then be used by Adobe Acrobat DC Reader to add an image of the written signature to a digital signature. Not too arduous though it took me a while to learn how to write a sufficiently lage signature.

Thank you again for your advice, Peter
