Hello,
I am trying to reduce the size of a fillable PDF form in Adobe Acrobat Pro, but every time the fillable fields disappear (= it is not a form that you can fill in on your computer any more, but you can only fill it once you have printed it).
Could you please help me with this?
Thanks a lot in advance.
BR,
Béatrice

If it's not meant to be filled in on the computer, why do you need form fields at all? Flatten them so they become static content, and then optimize the file.

Sorry, I misunderstood you, then...

How do you compress the form?

I tried by using the standard and the advanced options of the Optimize PDF tool, as well as by saving the form with a reduced size. I think it might depend on the options I select in the different settings available in the Advanced Optimization of the tool. If so, I have not idea which I should choose...

Don't flatten the form fields at the optimizer.

Under the Discard Objects section of the PDF Optimizer dialog:

Unfortunately it flattens the fields even if I do not select the option. In my opinion this might be because of the environment I am working in (in my company), so I will contact my IT colleagues.
Thanks a lot for your help anyway @Bernd Alheit and @try67 !
