How can I create a signature box where form users can draw in their signature instead of type it?

Hey All,

Currently when I create a signature form field it only lets me type in the field. I am unsure if this is an error or is some form of digital signature. Regardless, I would prefer if when a user clicked this signature box they could draw in their signature instead of typing it so it looked like the user was signing a document by hand.  If I am using acrobat, I can use the "fill and sign" mode to sign boxes. Unfortunately, when I email this form to someone else, who does not have acrobat, they are not able to.

Warmly,

Jesse

Users can use the "Fill & Sign" tool to add a signature to most PDFs - there are 3 options in Fill & Sign, Typed, Scribble, and Image - users can type with the font options presented, scribble their signature, or upload an image.  I am not aware of any way to create the field to force this but they do have those options using Fill & Sign to sign the PDF.

Thanks,

Josh

Don't know if this helps but I format the signature box for a picture then when they click on it they can browse for a Jpeg, PNG or PDF signature they prepared earlier.

Any other way would help me too

Hi defaultsyn48a1f399h,

Hope you are doing well.

Could you pleas elaborate on your question?

Also, let us know how you are creating the PDF form and the application you are using.

If you are using Acrobat, will you be sending the document via Adobe Sign or other means.

Please share more details so we can provide you the right information.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Will the "Fill and Sign" tool work for a Reader Enabled PDF that a user fills out using Acrobat Reader?

Don't enable the PDF. Simple use Acrobat Reader DC.
