How can I import data from Excel into a fillable PDF form?

I have a spreadsheet of over 200 clients every week who get seen by our financial advisers. During this meeting they complete a fillable PDF Fact Find. In order to speed up this process I'd like to pre-populate the clients basic details (name, address, adviser name etc) into the fillable PDF from my initial spreadsheet. Is this possible? If yes, what software do I need? Thanks.

Do you mean that you want to create a separate PDF file for each client in the spreadsheet (Mail Merge), or that you want to import the full data to a single PDF file?

Ideally I'd like to create a separate PDF file for each client in the spreadsheet. Is this possible? Any help on how to do this would be much appreciated!

Yes, it is. This process is called a Mail Merge. You can do it with some versions of the PDF Maker plugin for Office (the Acrobat ribbon), or by using a script, like this one I've developed: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Mail Merge and Email

Thanks for your help. I've just downloaded the free trial of Adobe Acrobat DC as I want to see if I can get this to work before paying for the product. I believe I have the PDF Maker plugin with this free trial which should enable me to merge my spreadsheet into a fillable PDF. Could you please explain exactly how I'd go about doing this?

Thanks again for your help!

This tells you how to create a PDF from an Excel spreadsheet but it doesn't talk about a mail merge from excel to pre-populate a fillable PDF unless I've missed something?! Cheers.

It tells you how to perform a mail merge from Word to PDFs. I thought it was possible from Excel too, but I'm not seeing this option anymore...

You can always use the tool I've developed to do that.

One uses Word for the source document but the variable data can come from a Word file, Excel file, Microsoft Outlook Contacts.

Is there a "how to" or DIY step by step cookbook on how to get the data from excel to the various form fields? I have clients for whom I am manually populating data into PDF form fillable fields.  The data is different for each client and my data as form preparer is static.  There must be some simple reliable method for getting name address phone number etc from a client list excel spreadsheet into the PDF forms.  Any suggestions are welcome, and I am very happy to pay for the software to reduce tedious data entry and transposition errors.
