I am getting a new computer. Do I have to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Pro on the old computer before I install it on my new computer. Also, I downloaded the software, I do not have an install disk. How do I do this?

Hi Jankovarik,
We would recommend to deactivate(or uninstall) the application on the current computer before switching it to the other one.
You can easily download the Acrobat Pro on new computer trough the link mentioned below, you just need to enter the serial number to license the software(when it will prompt to enter)
Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X
Let us know if that doesn't work.

Akanchha

Hello Loren!
I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response.
If you wish to download and use the trial version of Acrobat on a new computer, use this URL to download, and sign in using the Adobe ID (email) associated with the license/subscription. For detailed information, please see this article: https://adobe.ly/425DYkp

if you have a mac with sierra you can expect a lot of problems. with win 7 or win 10 you can expect some problems.
to deactivate per @Akki_24 open acrobat>click help>click sign out or deactivate. make sure you have your serial number secured before doing that.

I know that this is an old thread, but I did not deactivate Acrobat XI Pro on my old Mac (which is now gone), I have the Acrobat disk which I installed on my new Mac, but I am being told the serial number is invalid. How can I download onto my new Mac? Thank you.

assuming you're using a valid adobe serial number (6 groups of 4 numbers), you have a mismatch between your installation file and serial number. ie, you can have a valid serial number, but if it's for program A and your installation file is for program B, you will see an invalid serial number message.
common mismatches are language/region (eg, serial number is for western europe and installation file is eastern europe), platform (eg, serial number is for a mac and installation file is win), license type (eg, education vs enterprise vs individual).
and one of the most common is using a program installation file with a suite's serial number. eg, using a cs6 suite serial number with a photoshop cs6 installation file. that won't work even though photoshop is included in that suite. you must use the suite's installation file (and you can choose to only install one program from the suite).
here's official info about that error, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-valid-product.html
