How do I save a pdf with bates numbers, then delete some pages, but retain the original numbering?

I need to accomplish producing a document with bates numbering that even if pages are removed retains the original numbering.  That way the reader knows a page is missing and would be referred elsewhere.

The only way I have figured out to do it is to bates number the document, then print it to a new pdf.  Then remove the pages I want removed and save the whole thing again.  This is pretty cumbersome with large documents.

I would appreciate any guidance!

Hi,

We would like to help you in the issue you are facing. Well, I think you have yourself identified the correct steps and they are necessary to do the needful.

What exactly is the issue you are facing? Is it that it takes time or you have multiple docs and need to do same thing for all of them.

Also, Please share some required information:

1) Acrobat DC Pro version information

2) Operating System

Thanks,

Rishabh
