Just what the topic says. I am trying to use the mouse pointer to select text in a document and Acrobat doesn't seem to want to cooperate. I have no need to create an image out of a square of empty pixels snipped from the document, I want to copy text out of it.
Hi Morgan,
Hmmm, so tell me what you really feel about your computer....;>)
Ah, I think I know what's going on. I'm attaching a video. In the beginning I've simply gone into the Editing mode and you immediately see that the text is grouped into boxes. Hi Morgan,
Can you please verify which version of Acrobat you are using and what release?
For example, are you using Acrobat Reader DC, Acrobat DC, Acrobat Pro DC, or some earlier version of Acrobat?
Also, what is your OS and what release?
Thank you,

But then I click on the Text icon and there you will have your box with no text within, because this tool is to ADD text, not CHANGE text. The Edit tool (the thing I was first using when I started) is for Editing text. It also lets you Edit images to some degree which is why it is not called the Edit Text tool.
(Slight delay, I can't place videos on this site, I'm working on working around that. Will have a link for you soon.)
Let me know if this helps you,
ACK, I forgot, I can't place
