How do you release the tool from your cursor in new Adobe pro?

In the old Acrobat DC you would click the stamp or comment or whatever tool (circle, line whatever you are adding) and as soon as you placed the stamp or the whatever the hover of the tool you were placing would disappear, now it stays attached to your cursor and I don't know how to make it go away. I can't find anything in preferences and if I click off the page it just drops another of whatever is attached to the cursor, how do I turn this off???

Thank you.

Either press Esc or select the Hand tool.

To make it not be "sticky" in the first place click the thumb-pin icon in the Comments toolbar.
